Active Silex contains silicon with organic matter in solution, recommended for foliar or soil application. It acts on both the soil and the plant. In the soil, it acts during the cation exchange phases, displacing ions adsorbed on clay particles, taking their place and leaving them in solution ready to be absorbed by the plant roots. In plants, when applied foliarly or absorbed from the soil by the roots, silicon is transported through the xylem. As water is lost within the plant, silicon crystals form, which in turn form a protective barrier, giving cells mechanical resistance to disease.
Ways of use:
The application rate will depend on the crop; it is recommended to apply at least three times during the crop cycle. There is no necessary safety interval between the last application and harvest.
